VISION
 
The student services department aims to provide specialist support to the school community in the establishment of a school culture underpinned by caring, supportive relationships between all members of the school community.  
 
 
 
 
CONTEXT STATEMENT
 
Student Services works closely with the broader school community to ensure the school provides an environment that guides appropriate academic choice, encourages belonging and connectedness and fosters the development of resiliency in students. The school is committed to making improvements in ‘these areas by establishing programs and structures which:
·        Provide opportunities for successful and meaningful participation in the life of the school
·         Foster a sense of acceptance, belonging and fitting in
·        Ensure that students feel valued and supported
·        Establish close and positive relationships between students and individual teachers

3.1       To ensure quality course counseling and course management for all students
3.2              To promote collaboration with staff, parents and external agencies in developing Individual Education Plans for SAER
4.1       To provide a relevant, responsive careers information & counselling service
4.2       To ensure opportunities are available for interested students to undertake work  experience
