Welcome to the largest Learning Area at Kalamunda SHS.

• Home Economics - Gail Derry, Bev Hunter, Jan McKenzie and Rhoda Whelan
• Home Economics Assistants - S. Braehler, S. O'Brien and C.Hockley

Within each area there are many subjects offered in years 8, 9, 10 from each subject area.  New Courses of Study in 2008 include Applied Information Technology (years 11 and 12) and Material Design and Technology - Metal (year11) and Material Design and Technology - Wood (yr 11).  New Courses of Study for year 11 in 2009 include Accounting and Finance, Business Management and Enterprise, Food Science and Technology (Nutrition and Product design) and Children, Family and Community( Living independently and Caring for Others).
